Health cover that works when your family actually needs it.
Medical bills are one of the most common reasons Kenyan households fall into debt. A well-chosen plan means treatment does not become a financial emergency.

Medical Insurance: the questions we get most
Inpatient covers treatment when you are admitted to hospital — surgery, hospital stays and intensive care. Outpatient covers consultations, prescribed medicine, lab tests and scans where you are not admitted. Many people start with inpatient cover because it handles the largest bills, then add outpatient when budget allows.
It depends on the plan. Some insurers exclude pre-existing conditions entirely, some cover them after a waiting period of one to two years, and some cover them up to a set sub-limit from the first year. This is one of the most important things to check before buying, and we go through it with you before you commit.
The national scheme provides a base level of cover. Private medical insurance sits on top of it, giving access to a wider hospital panel, higher limits and shorter waiting times. Most private plans are designed to work with the national scheme rather than replace it.
Almost always. Typical waiting periods are around 30 days for general illness, and longer for maternity, chronic conditions and planned surgery. Accidents are usually covered from day one.
Premiums depend on the number of members, their ages, the inpatient limit you choose and whether outpatient, maternity, dental and optical are included. Rather than quote a misleading average, we price two or three suitable options against your actual family details so you can compare like for like.
